|Do you have another job outside of racing?||I am a full-time freshman at St. Johnsbury Academy, a high school in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont. I grew up on the Kingdom Trails/Burke Mountain & love to coach mountain biking during summer break.|
Why do you love cycling?
Cycling is meditative for me. It's so relaxing to be surrounded by nature, breathing fresh air, & just focusing on the dirt in front on my tires. My mom, dad, & brother all ride mountain bikes too. It's really fun to take family rides & spend time together. At MTB races we camp & meet new people that like to ride bikes too - it's the BEST!
Why do you love riding for Liv?
First of all, I ADORE my Liv bikes! The Hail is my go-to enduro rig, but the Intrigue is super playful & an absolute joy to ride! I tested the Pique 29 this summer & fell in love all over again. Not only does Liv have rad bikes, but the people that make up the Liv brand are super cool! Everyone is kind, supportive, & best of all, passionate about getting more women on bikes!
What is your favorite place to travel?
My favorite place so far is Whistler, British Colombia, but I really look forward to traveling around the globe to race the Enduro World Series (EWS80 until I'm 17) with the Liv Global Gravity Team!
What is your favorite food?
Pre-vegan: The Foggy Goggle's Ziti Romano / Post-Vegan: my mom's lentil soup
Who is your favorite riding partner?
My dad. <3 He taught me how to ride, even pushed me up hills on my bike when I was little & got tired easily. Now that I'm older he helps me train for races. When I first started, there weren't other girls my age to ride with, so he would enter every race & help me inspect the course. During the race, he would follow me the whole time just to be supportive & cheer me on. We'll always have a special bond through biking.
"When I'm not riding my bike, I'm _____!"
dreaming of riding my bike! ...or alpine ski racing, ice skating, sledding, & maybe even skinning up a mountain
What are the top 3 things on your "bucket list"?
Words you live by...
"A comfort zone is a beautiful place, but nothing ever grows there." - unknown
