Liv Racing Collective athlete Tessa Neefjes scored a third-place finish over the weekend at the Gravel Fondo Limburg, Netherlands. Neefjes finished the race in 3:48:16 on her Brava Advanced Pro and gained a podium spot in the first race of her season. "What a start of the race season! I was leading solo for 4 minutes before the chasers caught up. I survived all the heavy climbs with the famous Keutenberg and Cauberg and the fast gravel downhills." said Neefjes.
The 113 km race began with a challenging climb on the famous Cauberg hill and included three laps of the 34km course before finishing back in the center of Valkenburg. With a total of 1120 meters in elevation, the race course consists of gravel sections and shorter paved roads in the beautiful Limburg landscape. "The week before the race, I was already in Limburg with my best friend, Eva Buurman of Liv Racing Teqfind. We did several course recons together, and the conditions differed daily - from muddy to super fast conditions." Neefjes excitedly continued.
In 2022 Neefjes won two UCI Gravel World Series races in Millau and Houffalize and secured the overall leader position in the Dutch Gravel Series. Continue to follow Tessa Neefjes as she heads to Blaavands, Denmark for the next race of the series.
