Sam Scipio Begins the Tour Divide Bike Race!

Teams/Riders

Liv Athlete Sam Scipio begins the Tour Divide Bike Race, the longest and biggest event in off-road bikepacking, on Friday, June 8 aboard her modified Liv Obsess Advanced.

The Tour Divide is a self-supported solo time trial where riders set out to tackle the entire length of the Great Divide Mountain Bike Route in the shortest amount of time possible. The route covers 2,745 miles and nearly 200,000 feet of climbing (like summiting Mount Everest from sea level seven times) from Banff, Canada to Antelope Wells, New Mexico, USA. The average time it takes to complete the journey is about three weeks.

You can learn more about Scipio’s single-speed Obsess and the rest of the bikes and riders who will attempt to conquer the Tour Divide at Bikepacking.com.
