Hail Advanced 0 Wins Bicycling Magazine’s Editors’ Choice

The Hail Advanced 0 found its place on the coveted Bicycling Magazine Editors’ Choice list for 2017, ranking the 160 mm travel women’s-specific rig as the best of its class. The awards are doled out at the Sea Otter Classic each year to much anticipation from fans and bike industry leaders.

Hail Advanced 0 boasts the best-of-the-best when it comes to spec, complete with SRAM X01 Eagle 1x12-speed drivetrain, RockShox Lyric 130-160mm travel fork and RockShox Delux RT3 Trunnion mounted 160mm shock. Paired with Liv’s Advanced-grade Composite frame and a raked out 66-degree head angle Bicycling’s editors couldn’t get enough of this playful and capable lightweight rig.

“[Hail] won because it’s a damn fun bike for enduro-ing,” said Editor Gloria Liu.

Liu also applauded Hail Advanced’s 27.5-inch wheel size in a gravity world that has started to dabble in 29er. She notes, “Getting off the 29er Specialized Enduro and on to the Hail, one tester was struck by the comparatively light, tossable feel of this bike when she was airing over tabletops and floating down steppy rock ledges.”

In addition to its plush suspension and smooth-as-butter feel over rough terrain, Bicycling Magazine editors also noted Hail Advanced’s balance that makes for a surprisingly pedalable enduro bike.

“This bike feels like it was built to eat up rough terrain, but it’s not too much to pedal for four hours—which is great if you’re going to race some real enduros on it,” said one editor.
