After eight grueling days of racing, the Liv AlUla Jayco team emerged victorious in the team classification, winning by over nine minutes ahead of the second-place team, and almost 40 minutes ahead of third-place. Sport Director Shawn Clarke commented, "We had some big goals coming in and we really went for them. In the end, we got the best team, which I think shows how strong we are collectively. In cycling, it’s always a team effort so when you win a team prize it’s super nice to give the recognition to the whole team."
Mavi García showcased her powerful racing style on the mountainous climbs of stage three, shaking up the peloton with a daring attack on the final climb. Although the Liv AlUla Jayco racer was caught by the group of favorites in the final meters of the stage, she finished in sixth place and moved to ninth overall where she stayed for the remainder of the race. “At the start of the Giro, I expected more but this Giro was really hard for everybody and the whole team did the best they could. I think that we improved a lot as a team during the race and so in the end I am satisfied with this result.” said García after the race.
The victory in the team classification was bolstered by impressive performances from Urška Žigart and Silke Smulders, who finished 12th and 13th overall, respectively. Their strong results played a crucial role in propelling Liv AlUla Jayco to the top of the team standings.
