What is your day job?
I wake up, I do my stretching, and I drink coffee. This is how each day begins…and this not a job, this is living. And as the sun rises, the living continues; a balance of work at The Conservation Alliance, coaching athletes with Cycle-Smart International, training on the bike, spending time with my husband, Ben, and our pup, Piper, and being a positive influence on those around me. I don’t have a “day job”. I live. Period.
What is your biggest achievement?
Becoming a cyclist. Learning, studying and refining my craft. The craft of riding a bike. And being fortunate enough to do so for LIV. A great honor, and a great achievement.
What is your goal for 2018?
Say yes, then figure out the details.
Why do you love cycling?
Finding my limits and then going past them. Over and over again.
What do you love about Liv?
Our team. The authentic community of women who lift one another up and push the boundaries of what is possible with unyielding positivity and support.
What is one item you would never leave home without?
Any overnight trip requires three things: My Aeropress, my passport, and my bathing suit. That’s three items.
If you could learn a new sport or skill this year, what would it be?
I am going to race an enduro. And it is going to be petrifyingly amazing.
What is your favorite place to travel?
Lower Austria, in the Methow Valley. The most beautiful place on earth.
What is your favorite food?
Anything green, and from the garden. And carrot cake.
Who is your favorite riding partner?
All of them!
How do you spend your time off the bike?
Drinking coffee, making food, walking my pup and swimming in the river. Yeap, that is pretty much it… oh, and life. Life fits in there too.
What do you want to be "when you grow up"?
I have no idea.. .and I hope never to know. Each day I keep learning and growing and being. If an answer is required, Peter Pan.
Words you live by...
What if I fall?"
