Liv Racing triathlete Radka Kahlefeldt kept her win streak alive over the weekend, scoring a big victory at the Ford Challenge Prague in her home country of the Czech Republic.

Challenge Prague, a half-Ironman distance event, is the largest triathlon in the Czech Republic. Racing in front of her home fans, Radka Kahlefeldt got off to a fast start, finishing the swim in the Vltava River just behind early leader Lisa Norden of Sweden.

Kahlefeldt, who was chasing her third straight win following triumphs earlier this month at the Challenge Walchsee in Austria and the Ironman 70.3 Astana in Kazakhstan, hit the bike leg on her Avow Advanced bike and held her second-place position going into the run. From there, she began chipping away at a three-minute deficit.

That set up a thrilling finale for the home fans. By the second of three loops, Kahlefeldt had closed to within 5 seconds of Norden. She soon caught the Swede and powered all the way to the finish with a winning gap of just under 2 minutes.

“This victory means a lot to me,” said Kahlefeldt who took time off last year for the birth of her baby girl Ruby. “Lisa was strong in the cycling part, she was trying to qualify for the Olympic Games. The fans pushed me, it was awesome. I was really looking forward to seeing my daughter and husband at the finish line.”
