Lisa Tertsch earns her third national title at the German Triathlon Championships in Dresden, Germany.

Liv Racing Collective athlete Lisa Tertsch claims victory at the German Triathlon Championships in Dresden, Germany, this past weekend. Racing on her EnviLiv Advanced SL and finishing with a time of 56:07 minutes, over the sprint distance consisting of a 750-meter swim, a 20km ride, and a 5km run. Earning her third women’s elite sprint national title after winning in 2021 and 2023.

Coming into the race well-prepared by arriving early to preview the course, “I traveled a bit earlier than usual to have some time to really examine the course and identify critical parts,” she said. “So I knew where it could get tricky and where opportunities to gain an advantage might lie.”

That planning helped her stay focused throughout the race. “I was quite calm and positive beforehand,” Tertsch said. “This race was just about performing that one day, and I really like these opportunities.”

She stayed in control through the swim and bike within the leading pack, then made her move on the run. “The most memorable part of the race for me was when I started the sprint on the uphill before the finish line and looked back to see that I immediately had a gap, and no one could respond,” she said. “Knowing that the decisive move worked out is always a really rewarding feeling.”

Crossing the line first in front of local fans made the win even more meaningful. “I am really happy and excited to have won the German Championships,” Tertsch said. “It is my third National title, so it feels quite special. It felt amazing to race in front of a home crowd and a lot of family who came to support me.”

Tertsch now enjoys a short, well-deserved break before heading to the World Triathlon Championship Series in the French Riviera on August 31st.
