Linda Indergand of Liv Factory Racing delivered an outstanding performance at the UCI XCC World Cup in Nové Město na Moravě, earning a spot on the podium with a hard-fought 3rd place finish in the Elite Women’s race.
The short track race was fast and tactical, with a stacked field and challenging course that demanded constant positioning and precise decisions. Riders navigated a mix of tarmac, grass, and technical rollers, with a sharp corner early in each lap causing chaos for several competitors. Starting from the fourth row, Indergand steadily moved up through the field, avoiding mid-pack crashes and timing her efforts with precision.
“My race was amazing,” Indergand said. “I had a good start, and then on the grass uphill I saw Puck who was calm, so I tried to do the same and move up positions through most of the race. With four laps to go I still felt good and managed to miss and go around the crashes. I still had power with two laps to go, and then I was just like, it’s my day today. I want to go as fast as I can.”
Riding her custom Swiss Champion edition Pique Advanced 29, Indergand brought her power to the final sprint, outpacing her rivals to take third in a tight finish and secure her first XCC podium of the season.
“It was just good to be back on the podium with an amazing team around myself,” she added.
Indergand will line up again on Sunday for the XCO World Cup, bringing today’s momentum and energy into the next round of racing. Tune in live at 10:00 CEST on Sunday, May 25th to catch the action!
