I'm a SoCal girl living on Kumeyaay land. My background is in geology, guiding in the outdoors, and advocating for underrepresented and underprivileged folks. Being able to mesh my knowledge of the earth with my passion for being active outside is my mission. I share my experience and knowledge in outdoor recreation to increase representation of women of color and make it less intimidating and more accessible to others.

What is the main cycling discipline you ride/race? | Road and MTB |
Favorite Liv or Giant bike? | |
How did you get into cycling? | I started riding at 4 years old, but I didn't ride consistently. It wasn't until I started commuting on a road bike in college that I got interested in riding more for the adventure and it has taken me all over the world. |
Where is your favorite place to ride? | Catalunya roads and Southern Utah trails |
You’re on a road trip to your favorite riding spot. Are you listening to a podcast or music? What’s on your playlist? | For a long drive, I'm listening to podcasts like RadioLab, Risk!, or The Read, and breaking it up with some albums from my prized CD-rom collection. |
If you could choose a person to ride with (anywhere in the world, living or not living), who would it be and why? | I would ride with Harriet Tubman because she would obviously be a force for BIPOC in the sport and I have a feeling she could scout some killer routes. |
What would you say to a non-cyclist or someone who is just getting into the sport to encourage them? | Don't allow the mainstream cycling culture to intimidate you or dictate what makes you a "cyclist". Wear what you're comfortable in. Go your own pace. Ride in whatever way makes you feel free and empowered. |
Do you have a favorite cycling tip to share? | Nutrition is key! Hydrate before your thirsty and eat before your hungry. |
Words you live by... | To Be a Rock and Not to Roll. |
