Who taught you how to ride a bike/ got you into the sport of cycling? | A boyfriend taught me how to ride when I got into college. In many ways cycling has showed me more opportunities than I could ever dream of. It helped pay for me to be the first person in my family to not only get a college degree, but two grad degrees. Ever since then cycling keeps giving to me. I'm now a professional athlete, I get to travel around the world, and I have found an outlet in life that makes me feel more confident and powerful than I thought possible. |
Have you taught anyone how to ride a bike or introduced someone to the sport? | I currently am a NICA coach and help mentor with Little Bella's and Women's Joy Ride. I'm always looking for ways to introduce people to cycling or help them grow in the sport. |
How do you plan to pass on your love of cycling in 2019 and beyond? | I'm constantly helping with getting more kids involved from all over east TN with our NICA program. I'll be a mentor for Little Bella's in the fall, and I'll always be looking for how to lead rides and be a mentor in sharing my love for cycling. |
