Liv Racing’s Radka Kahlefeldt scored another victory Saturday to add to her long list of 2019 podium achievements at Challenge Davos in Switzerland.

After a stellar sixth-place performance at Ironman 70.3 World Championships in Nice, France, Liv Racing triathlete Radka Kahlefeldt traveled to the Alpine town of Davos, Switzerland for the Challenge Family middle-distance triathlon. The race is known for its beautiful mountain landscapes, but also, it’s elevation.

The race kicked off Saturday morning with a 1.9km swim in lake Davos, in which Kahlefeldt set a blistering pace. She exited the water nearly a minute and a half up on second place. After a quick transition, the 55.4km bike leg of this course would provide the race’s biggest challenge. The out-and-back course between Davos and Susch (Engadin) meant the 1770m climb over the Flüela Pass would have to be conquered twice, once from each side. For this reason, Kahlefeldt chose to race aboard her EnviLiv Advanced Pro Disc, and it paid off with the fastest bike split by six minutes over the nearest competition. Kahlefeldt maintained her pace on the half marathon to cross the finish line with a commanding lead.

“It was a beautiful location and amazing course,” said Kahlefeldt. “There certainly wasn’t a lot of flat today. So happy to win at Challenge Davos!”
