Liv Racing triathlete Radka Kahlefeldt celebrated Mother’s Day at Ironman 70.3 Asia Pacific Championships in Danang, Vietnam for the second year in a row. After winning the race in 2018, Kahlefeldt came back strong this year to finish third.
Kahlefeldt exited the 1.9km ocean swim in third and held her position on the 90km bike course aboard her Liv Avow Advanced Pro. The heat certainly played a factor for all competitors. Kahlefeldt chose to wear her Attacca aero road helmet over the Attacca TT for increased airflow without sacrificing aerodynamics. Losing a little time on the 21km out-and-back run course, she finished comfortably in a podium position.
“I am happy to take third place today,” said Kahlefeldt. “It was a great race, great atmosphere, and tough conditions, congratulations to everyone who finished today.”
Kahlefeldt’s next race will be the Challenge Samorin Triathlon in Slovakia on June 2.
