According to The Radavist, Brooke Summers-Hume’s review of the new Pique Advanced 29 0 praises the lightweight, race-oriented design and exceptional performance in cross-country racing. The Pique offers precise handling and efficiency that helped her achieve PRs on both climbs and descents. With some personal customizations, the Pique became the perfect companion for her win in the All-Mountain Championship in her category at the Downieville Classic.

"The all-new 2024 Liv Pique is for the female rider seeking a cross-country race machine, an efficient and lively companion for light-duty epics, or a daily driver to chase QOMs on green, blue, and tame black trails. If the terrain around your door is rolling, mostly smooth, and you like to go fast as hell, then this bike will make daily rides a blast. Much like a sports car, the Pique performs best with an aggressive ride. So get low, pedal hard, and enjoy the new Pique." Brooke Summers-Hume - The Radavist.

The Loam Wolf's Emma Wooldridge’s review of the Pique Advanced 29 0 perfectly captures the excitement and confidence this bike instills in its rider. She highlights its versatility and responsiveness, allowing her to tackle both rock gardens and playful jumps with ease, despite the bike’s primary focus on cross-country racing. Emma also appreciates Liv’s design updates of a lighter, stiffer frame and the FlexPoint Pro suspension, to create a superlight and active rear suspension system. Liv’s commitment to supporting women in cycling and an all-female design team also resonates with her in this article.

"Liv’s reach extends beyond the shelves and factory riders (which is a pretty deep roster of women compared to other brands) and into our local communities." She continues, "Liv takes any opportunity, like at Crankworx Whistler or Cape Epic, to create more spaces for women to feel comfortable and grow the women’s mountain biking community. Heck, even my local women’s bike group, with over 1,700 wonderful ladies, was started by a Liv ambassador!" Emma Wooldridge - The Loam Wolf.

Finally, at Bike Mag, Julia Tellman loved how the Pique Advanced 29 is tailored specifically for women, praising its lightweight carbon frame, modern geometry, and superb climbing efficiency. The bike’s handling and increased travel make it a versatile race machine, suited for both cross-country courses and technical descents. Its sparkly pink-to-black design and high-end components were standouts. Despite some issues with pedal bob (which were addressed below) the overall performance, particularly for women racers, impressed the reviewer, noting its competitive edge in performance and price for XC racing.

"It should come as no surprise that the Pique absolutely flies uphill. It’s light, it’s stiff, it has high-end components. While the pitch increases, instead of gently asking you to shift into an easier gear, the Pique demands that you pedal harder and beat everyone to the top" - Julia Tellman - Bike Mag.

Bike Mag: Tested: Liv Announces New Pique Advanced 29

After the initial review from Bike Mag, Liv product managers addressed the issue with the pedal bob and determined it was an incorrect tune in the rear shock on the media sample bike. Bike Mag confirmed this and retested.

"Verdict? Wow am I glad I had this chance to revisit this bike. I can now say unreservedly that the Pique feels like a modern, capable XC race bike."

"I was also excited to revisit the bike after watching the thrilling first few races of the UCI World Cup circuit, where Liv Factory Racing’s Linda Indergand and Jenn Jackson have stacked up some of their best results in recent years on the new Pique." - Julia Tellman - Bike Mag.
