What is your biggest cycling achievement? | Being a student of the sport and refining my craft; Becoming a cyclist; Being a part of Liv Racing; My first UCI cyclocross win; Racing Cape Epic; Standing on the Nationals Marathon MTB podium, twice; Being an ambassador of the sport and a mentor to others. |
What is your biggest non-cycling achievement? | Living with integrity, each and every day. |
Do you have another job outside of racing? | In addition to being part of Liv Racing, I am a cycling coach, lead training camps and work with athletes and businesses to share their messages of environmental sustainability and corporate responsibility. |
What is your professional goal for 2019? | Professional Goal: To be an exceptional teammate and win the Triple Crown! |
What do you love about cycling? | The process of continual improvement - mind and body working in sync to do the things you once thought you could not do. |
Why do you love riding for Liv? | A rising tide lifts all boats. At Liv, we rise together, challenging one another to push our limits and reach the next level of achievement. |
What is your favorite place to travel? | Anywhere with brilliant landscapes, miles of trails and gravel roads, and good coffee. The Methow Valley is one such place. I also dream of riding bikes in Italy! |
What is your favorite food? | Anything leafy and green, especially when it comes from the garden. And carrot cake. |
Who is (are) your favorite riding partner(s)? | All of them! Each one of them has something to teach, and something to learn. |
"When I'm not riding my bike, I'm ______!" | Spending time with my husband Ben and our pup, Piper! Hiking, skiing, climbing, cooking, working and dreaming big dreams. |
Who taught you how to ride a bike/ got you into the sport of cycling? | Don Leet. He taught me to love the process of becoming a cyclist. He gave me my first cycling kit. My love of the sport was born out of his guidance, support, and belief. |
Have you taught anyone how to ride a bike or introduced someone to the sport? | As an ambassador of the sport, a cycling coach, and a member of the Bend community, I work to break down the barriers that stand in the way of people, young and old, from getting on a bike. Through participation in community events, group rides, local shop events, and presentations, and helping my friends teach their children to ride, I hope to show that riding bikes is pure fun! |
