Liv Racing U21 enduro athlete Isabella Naughton secured her second silver medal in as many Enduro World Series races this past weekend in Northstar, California. The deep dust and rough rock gardens gave all racers a challenge, but Naughton claimed, "my Liv Hail handled everything with ease!"

Liv Racing enduro athletes didn’t have much of a break after EWS Whistler before making their way south to Lake Tahoe, California for round seven of the Enduro World Series. Isabella Naughton proved her silver in Whistler was no fluke, backing up her first EWS podium with another impressive second-place finish in the competitive women’s U21 class.

EWS Northstar took place over two days, kicking off Saturday with two technical bike park stages. The extremely dry and dusty trails created ultra-slippery conditions and made visibility difficult. The deep dust, trecherous rock gardens, and high altitude made EWS round 7 one of the most difficult to date.

Naughton scored the top-spot on stage 2 and headed into the second day of racing in second-place – just a few seconds off the leader. Sunday began with the queen stage, which dropped racers -651m from the top of Northstar to the bottom over 5.4km. The top three women in the U21 category finished the 10-minute long test only three seconds apart, just a sample of the tight battle they were fighting. Naughton finished the day with another win on stage 6 aboard her Hail Advanced, securing second-place overall.

“Northstar was very rowdy to say the least,” said Naughton. “Back to back EWS races with the team has been a dream and I couldn’t be more excited to get two stage wins and end the day with second overall!”

Next up, Naughton has her sights set on Big Bear, California for the third and final EWS North American race at the Fox US Open on September 14. Following that, she will make her way across the pond for the EWS finale in Zermatt, Switzerland.
