What is your favorite Liv bike?
How did you get into cycling?
Both my parents raced at a professional level, I have always been around it but was never interested in it until about 5 years ago. I started racing for my high school NICA team and I will be forever grateful for my coach at the time Dustin Phillips for helping me realize riding bikes is something I really love to do.
I am committed to...
showing girls of all ages that it is okay to be strong and that they are capable of competing in any sport at the highest level. I want to show the world that there is no limit for what the future holds for women in sport.
What piece of advice would you give to your 13-year-old self?
It is okay to try and be open to new things because you never know where it will lead.
Why do you ride?
I ride because it gives me joy and it is a stress reliever. I like to see myself improve and get stronger and accomplish goals I set for myself.
Who inspires you?
Mikaela Shiffrin, who is a ski racer, inspires me because she has been through a lot of ups and down with having to deal with injuries as well as loosing loved ones but continuing to push through and perform and succeed at the highest level. I love that she isn’t afraid to just show the world her good times and achievements but also the hard times and that life isn’t perfect.
What is your secret talent?
I can turn my eyelids inside out... I don’t know if that’s really a talent but it does freak people out.
What is one thing you learned about yourself in 2020?
I learned that it is okay for me to take time away from racing and that it actually helped me become a better rider both mentally and physically.
