The Pique Advanced 0 is the crème of the mountain bike crop for 2018, rising to the top of Bicycling Magazine Editors’ Choice list as the best-in-class. The awards are presented at the Sea Otter Classic each year, where the Pique Advanced was raced in both Enduro and the XC events.
As a trail boss that specializes in climbing, yet is equally capable when the elevation starts to drop, the Pique Advanced 0 was praised for its excellent components package that features 130mm RockShox Pike RCT 3 Solo Air fork, Super Deluxe RCT trunnion-mounted shock, SRAM X0 Eagle drivetrain and Giant carbon rims.
“The Pique Advanced 0 is equipped to take on burly trails and enduro racing yet still able to carry a rider to an XC podium,” remarked Bicycling editor Mike Yozell.
Choosing the final 16 bikes that would grace Bicycling Magazine’s Editors’ Choice list was no easy task. Pique Advanced 0 was pitted against every bike option on the market – from enduro bikes to all-mountain and XC racers. The pool was then narrowed to 50 before testers had their way with each bike, putting tons of miles on each before the victors were selected.
The big winner for testers? Fit.
“It didn’t feel like the front end was in another time zone,” noted one rider, a testament to Liv’s data-driven approach to engineering Pique’s frame geometry for female mountain bikers.
