Liv CoFactory Off-Road athletes competed in the USA Cycling Mountain Bike National Championships in Snowshoe, West Virginia last week across multiple disciplines including Enduro, Cross Country and Short Track.
On Sunday, after getting a flat tire in the Cross Country race and finishing second, junior racer Katie Clouse crossed the finish first in the Short Track to become the US National Champion. Clouse rode to both podium finishes aboard her Pique Advanced.
Kaysee Armstrong also had strong finishes – flying to an impressive fourth place on her Pique Advanced in the stacked women’s Elite Cross Country field. Her early lead and aggressive, technical ability allowed her to finish well in the XC, but that same skill set would not apply to the fast and smooth Short Track. Still, she continued her strong effort and finished seventh in elite women.
Crystal Anthony arrived at Snowshoe resort early in the week to tackle the enduro race, a challenging 7-stage event through technical downhill trails and remote, rooty terrain. Stepping out of her element of XC racing, Anthony prevailed, taking a second place finish on stage 4, third on stage 5 and finishing sixth overall. Anthony rode her Liv Hail for the enduro and raced XC and Short Track aboard her Pique Advanced.
