Liv Racing athlete Crystal Anthony put her Liv Pique Advanced Pro back on the start line over the weekend, winning the women’s solo female 50-mile race on Saturday, July 25.

Although Anthony says staying healthy, encouraging others to stay motivated, and embracing her time at home have been her priorities over racing in 2020, when presented with the opportunity to race at the Audi Snowmass 50 in Aspen/Snowmass, Colorado, she jumped at the opportunity. Racing aboard her Pique Advanced Pro, Anthony conquered the daunting two-loop course with 8,500 feet of climbing, finishing first with a time of 4:49:24.

“The race organization took many precautions to ensure a safe, socially-distanced event which meant the field size was smaller, divided into waves, and there were no post-race celebrations,” said Anthony. “It felt good to push myself and chase the few riders I saw here and there, and not knowing where the other women were relative to me definitely motivated me to keep pushing.”

With mixed terrain, including loamy singletrack, technical rocks and roots, as well as plenty of flow, Anthony raved about the Pique 29’s ability to stay nimble on the climbs and fun on the descents.

“My Fox LiveValve suspension was amazing for the short-burst, punchy climb sections interspersed in the flow trails, which left me one less thing to think about,” said Anthony.
