Who taught you how to ride a bike/ got you into the sport of cycling? | Both my parents Robert Naughton and Amber Tinstman taught me how to ride a bike when I was probably 3 years old. They put me in Moto gear and took me to the top of a hill and that’s how I learned. Growing up, I didn’t like riding my bike but about 3 years ago I was talked into participating in the NICA series. I ended up falling in love with riding and the rest is history. I cannot imagine what my life would be like if hadn’t found a love for cycling, it has impacted me in so many good ways and I am so thankful for it and thankful that my parents never gave up on trying to get me to like riding my bike. |
Have you taught anyone how to ride a bike or introduced someone to the sport? | I haven’t taught someone how to ride a bike or really introduced anyone to the sport but at my high school races I have had parents come up to me saying I truly inspired them and their little girl who now wants to race NICA when she is old enough. |
How do you plan to pass on your love of cycling in 2019 and beyond? | I really want to figure out a way to help make girls cycling even bigger and better. I haven’t figured it out yet, but I’m always brainstorming. |
