Cycling Weekly editor, Hannah Bussey tested the new Langma Advanced Pro 0, who wrote a faultless review of the women’s road bike.
It has been six years since Bussey last rode the Langma. After completing her test ride, she had realised it had been far too long, as she sang its praises.
“From the very first pedal stroke I was, again, instantly smitten, reminding me why I originally rated it as worthy of an Editors Choice Award.”
Bussey tested the Langma Advanced Pro in a variety of situations from sprinting, ascents and descents. She boasts that the Langma oozes capability, where the Shimano Ultegra di2 groupset helped.
“Climber, sprinter, aero - yet again this bike delivers all in spades.”
Bussey test rode the Langma around the Peak District, which consisted of steep declines. She claimed Liv's new carbon road bike gave her lots of confidence as there was no way she would ride these technical descents on the first few miles of a test ride.
“It’s a testament to the holistic Langma Advanced Pro 0 platform that I instinctively trusted the bike’s setup, and felt safe.”
Bussey also claimed that the Giant SLR 40 wheelset and CADEX Race GC tubeless tyres played a huge role to play as well in the confidence-inspiring ride feel.
“This wheel/ tyre combo appears to have nailed that sweet spot, providing me with enough of a surefooted sensation.”
The Cycling Weekly editor writes the frameset played a huge role in the ride feel, and that the frameset design was executed well.
“The bike feels urgent and explosive, immediately making me tackle some of the more gruesome local climbs that I normally want to avoid.”
After testing in a much milder June than usual, Bussey was constantly drawn to the Langma and was always eager to ride. In her summary, she described the Langma Advanced Pro 0 as “Comfortable, rapid, lightweight, sure-footed, agile... all the superlatives and more.”
