But what makes Sarah's story so powerful isn't just the distance or the record. It's how she got here. Two years ago, Sarah had never ridden a road bike. She had been recovering from paralysis and rebuilding her life after a devastating injury. Cycling became her turning point a way to heal, to move forward and to take back control of her story. Now, she's setting out to do the impossible.
"This is more than a record. It's about reclaiming the life I didn't get to live", expressed Sarah.
Sarah will ride 500–600 km every day, with almost no rest, pushing her body and mind to the absolute limit. She's trained for months, fitting brutal ride blocks around a full-time job. The goal? Not just to finish but to finish faster than anyone else ever has.
Sarah's choice of bike is the EnviLiv, Liv’s fastest-ever aero road bike. Built for high-speed performance and designed specifically for women, the EnviLiv is made for athletes chasing bold goals.
Sarah's ride is also raising money for two incredible causes, The Bike Project and Bikes for Refugees charities that give second hand bikes to refugees and asylum seekers in the UK.
"I've worked with organisations to sponsor female refugees and asylum seekers to live in my home. I've seen how a bike can give them independence and access to opportunities, just like it did for me", explained Sarah.
Why we're supporting Sarah
At Liv, we believe in the power of bikes to change lives and give women the tools, confidence and freedom to chase their goals. Sarah's story is a perfect example of what's possible when strength, purpose and passion meet.
She's not just riding for the record. She's riding for every woman who's ever felt like they had to start over.
We'll be sharing updates as Sarah takes on her ride in May. Follow along for behind-the-scenes training, interviews and race-day moments @livcyclinguk
Let's cheer her on as she pushes past limits and shows the world what women on bikes can do.
Go, Sarah!
