“Liv’s race-ready rig just got even faster but remains wonderfully comfortable for longer rides”

BikeRadar editor, Katherine Moore tested the all-new and improved Langma Advanced Pro, gifting the carbon road bike 4.5 / 5.

Moore tested the Langma locally in Dartmoor, South West England. The terrain consisted of main roads, narrow lanes and plenty of hills – with both long, steady ascents and short, punchy climbs. The weather was mainly dry, with some riding done on damper roads.

Moore instantly noticed a difference in the cockpit, which is 2cm narrower than the previous generation model which resulted in a 36cm wide handlebar.

Moore claimed “The narrower handlebar gave a more aerodynamic position that's preferable for fast-paced riding and racing.”

Moore was enthusiastic about the cockpit, especially the new Liv Stratus Elite handlebar tape which she described as more streamlined.

Complimenting the bar tape, she writes “It’s still grippy enough, but feels much less chunky in the hand and suits the performance-oriented bike’s intended use much better.”

Summarising the cockpit, Moore claimed the combination of the narrow handlebars and short headtube, you get a low, racy position.

After riding the Langma Advanced Pro, Moore boasts the pace of the women’s road bike.

“The Langma really sings when it’s ridden at speed. While the Liv didn't feel sluggish chugging on into a headwind or winching up a climb, it’s when you turn a corner or crest a hill onto faster-rolling roads that you feel the difference.”

As well as being capable at speed, Moore claims the handling of the Langma was excellent. She describes the Langma as “balanced and stable, I was able to corner at higher speeds with confidence.”

To summarise, Moore writes “The Liv Langma Advanced Pro 0 continues to be an excellent women's road bike for dedicated racers and riders seeking all-out summer performance at a fast pace.”
