What inspired you to start cycling?
I always cycled as a kid - it was how I got my freedom. However, as an adult, I got back into cycling through commuting. It was more reliable than public transport and had the added benefit of counting as exercise where I could get some fresh air.
When a friend invited me to try track cycling, I learnt that there was more to cycling than commuting. From there, I discovered social cycling, with the added perk of coffee stops with cake! I went on to try as many different forms of cycling as I could - bike packing with friends from London to Paris, mountain biking, BMX and cyclocross, so far!
What events have you competed in?
Sportives, Cyclocross racing and Duathlon!
Where are you based and where do you host Liv ride outs and events?
I am based in Loughton and I lead rides from Giant Store Loughton.
What excites you most when it comes to being a Liv Ambassador?
I'm grateful to have entered my third year as a Liv Ambassador, to get and support more women on bikes!
