El MIPS BPS está diseñado para añadir protección a los cascos ante el movimiento giratorio. El movimiento giratorio es una combinación de energía rotacional (velocidad angular) y fuerzas rotacionales (por la aceleración angular) que afecta al cerebro y aumenta el riesgo de daños cerebrales menores y severos.
