I’m an Arkansas native who found my passion for mountain biking when I moved to Colorado. I started mountain biking because I was curious. Now it is part of my lifestyle and a way for me to express myself. I enjoy the satisfaction of knowing you are flowing a trail right. I enjoy sharing my passing and advocating to create inclusive spaces for BIPOC folks to try mountain biking.

How did you get into cycling?

My boyfriend Vitaly introduced me to mountain biking. It was one of our first dates.

Why is the Black Foxes' mission important to you?

TBF mission is important to me because together we are working to normalize BIPOC to THRIVE in the outdoor spaces at their level of comfort. We are building a more inclusive and stronger community.

Where is your favorite place to ride?

I'm pretty lucky with all the amazing trails and bike parks in Colorado. This is a tough one. My favorite trail is 401 in Crested Butte and I got to experience my first time on that trail with some of The Black Foxes. The climb was disrespectful but it was worth it! But, I would have to say Angel Fire Bike Park in New Mexico is my favorite place to ride. It offers miles and miles of downhill trails for all levels. You get to choose how crazy you want to get on the trails!

You’re on a road trip to your favorite riding spot. Are you listening to a podcast or music? What’s on your playlist?

Music! From Michael Jackson, The Temptations, Post Malone, The Movement, Kbong, Da Baby, The Dream, Rebelution, Stickfigure to Spice Girls. I am the type of person who will love one song and will listen to it on repeat. That current song is "Life Is a Circle" by The Movement.

If you could choose a person to ride with (anywhere in the world, living or not living), who would it be and why?

Myriam Nicole. I enjoy watching her race UCI Downhill. It is my dream to meet her and ride just as good as her one day! If I could ride anywhere in the world with her, it would be New Zealand because of it's exotic environment and world class trails.

What would you say to a non-cyclist or someone who is just getting into the sport to encourage them?

This is your ride. You are in control. Have fun and never say never!

Do you have a favorite cycling tip to share?

Always check the weather forecast!
