Tyler Jacobs of Liv Factory Racing secured the South African Elite Women’s Road Race title in a thrilling sprint finish at the 2026 National Road, Time Trial & Para Cycling Championships, held at Rosenbusch Estate in Walkerville on Saturday.
“It was my 3rd road race and I managed to win the Elite Road Champ Title which was a very big surprise to me,” Jacobs said.
Racing aboard the EnviLiv Advanced Pro, Jacobs delivered a powerful performance in a fiercely contested race. The national title was decided in a dramatic final sprint, where she edged out Lisa Bone to take the win. Bone crossed the line in second place, while one of South Africa’s most accomplished cyclists, Ashleigh Moolman Pasio, completed the podium in third.
“The finish line was at the top of a short, punchy climb, which really suited me and I was able to get into a really great position for the sprint and take the win. I'm super stoked and didn't expect it all,” Jacobs said.
Jacobs’ victory highlights both her sprint strength and race composure over 143km, earning her the national crown against a competitive elite field.
