100 women of all ages took to the trails at the Skyline Mountain Bike Park during Crankworx Rotorua on Friday, March 23 for Liv’s second-annual Trail Session Event. After a successful event in 2017 where 50 women were given exclusive access to the Mr. Black jump trail, this year participants at the free Women’s Trail Session had their pick of seven great trails – offering an inviting riding experience for a wide range of ability levels.
Liv athletes and ambassadors were on hand to offer advice and instruction through challenging terrain, giving participants the opportunity to take their skills to the next level or just have fun with friends with the comfort of a closed trail. There was certainly plenty of cheers, high fives and smiles to go around. But the excitement didn’t end there, Liv followed up the 3-hour trail session with an Après event featuring giveaways, refreshments and, of course, more fun.
The Crankworx Rotorua Liv Trail Session was inspired by Liv’s Aline event at Crankworx Whistler, which began in 2014 with 45 attendees and has quickly grown to give over 150 women the opportunity to ride the Aline jump trial in a welcoming environment.
