How long have you been riding and racing bikes? I have been racing competitively for 11 years now in XC, CX, and recently track and Enduro.

Highlights for you so far?

Some highlights of my cycling career so far have been very recent!

• August 2022: I was selected to go to the Canada Summer Games with Team BC
• September 2022: I became the U21 Women Enduro National Champion
• November 2022: I was selected to go Kerstperiode (Christmas Cross) with the national team and race 2 cyclocross World Cups in Belgium, and 6 European races
• Selected to race 2023 Cyclocross World Champs in Hoogerheide with the national team

What is your favorite type of riding? My favorite type of riding is big adventure days on my mountain bike with friends! I love spending long days in the forest, exploring new trails and learning new skills.

What have you learned in 2022?  2022 has been a big year for me with lots of ups and downs and learning opportunities. In the first 4 months of 2022, I injured my ankle twice, the second time resulting in a few weeks on crutches and a boot. Not being able to walk a month before the first Canada Cup threw a bit of a curveball in my training but was also a chance for me to work on my mental strength. One of my biggest takeaways from the 2022 season is that patience is key. Whether it’s with injury, training, consistency in racing, or with yourself. You can’t rush the process, and everyone progresses at a different rate.

Goals for the Future?

• Qualify for Junior XC World Champs
• Top 10 in a Junior Euro CX race in 2023
• Learn how to bunnyhop the barriers for CX
• Win a Canadian Enduro Series race
• Podium (or hold on to my title) at the Canadian Enduro Champs

What does it mean to be involved with Liv Cycling?  Being involved with Liv Cycling has helped me get to where I am in my cycling career today. Liv has supported me with equipment and a team as well as helping me build relationships with others in the cycling community. Not only are they an awesome bike brand, but the people at Liv Cycling are helping to get more women on bikes and racing!
