An emotional, hard-fought solo victory marks a historic first Tour stage win for Liv AlUla Jayco.

In one of the most dramatic displays of grit and determination at this year’s Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift, Mavi García of Liv AlUla Jayco claimed a stunning solo victory on Stage 2, racing 110.4km from Brest to Quimper aboard the Langma Advanced SL.

With the full support of her team, García launched her winning move with 11 kilometers to go, attacking from a breakaway group that included teammate Silke Smulders. Digging deep into her reserves, she opened a 20-second gap and powered alone toward the finish.

Despite relentless pressure from the chasers on the final climb, García held strong—crossing the line just three seconds ahead in an unforgettable moment for herself and the team.

“I just pushed and focused on the finish line,” García shared after the race. “When I saw four kilometers to go, I thought, ‘OK, that’s a long way.’ But every kilometer passed quickly, and by the last one, I just thought, I have to go all out and we’ll see. It’s a special moment for me and the team.”

One of the most respected climbers and time trialists in the peloton, García has come heartbreakingly close before. This time, she sealed the deal—earning Liv AlUla Jayco’s first-ever stage win at the Tour de France Femmes.

“I have a lot of emotions—I can’t believe it,” she said, holding back tears moments after her win. “I’ve tried so many times and never made it to the finish. This victory means so much to me. I really needed it.”
