Moving Beyond Diversity LIVE panel discussion
Wednesday November 25 – 6pm PDT

For many in our outdoor communities, 2020 has exposed the amount of work that needs to be done in the area of diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI).

Organizations and individuals have been working hard to foster a more diverse participation and representation in outdoor related media and storytelling. Where do we go from here?

Judith Kasiama, founder of Colour the Trails and moderator of this panel, believes the focus needs to be on inclusion and the development of welcoming practices for everybody.

In this lively discussion, our panelists will share their learnings about DEI and offer their advice to individuals (you at home) about how you can take action and contribute to real change in your community.

Panelists include:

Ayesha McGowan, Liv Racing athlete and advocate for better representation of POC in cycling.

Jaqueline Scott, PhD student at the University of Toronto researching how to make outdoor recreation more welcoming for Black people.

Raheim Robinson, creative director, producer, and climber based in NYC.

Brooklyn Bell, athlete and artist based in the Pacific Northwest.

Judith Kasima (moderator), founder of Colour the Trails
