Tell us a bit more about you. How did you discover cycling?

I discovered cycling in 2021 when COVID was really running wild. I bought a Northrock hard tail from Costco with really no expectation other than to exercise. My first ride was amazing and challenging. I immediately fell in love with the sport. Fast forward 5 years later and I’m riding with Liv for my 3rd year and have acquired amazing relationships with several other sponsors! My main sport is freeride mountain biking, but I also enjoy road or gravel cycling from time to time. I absolutely love the confidence, fitness and peace of mind that biking has gifted me. My goal is to spread inspiration and encouragement to women who are starting off in this sport or thinking about joining! It’s the best.

According to you, how can bike shops be more welcoming for women?

I remember going into a bike shop down in the lower mainland and being treated very poorly. I knew the part I was looking for and because I was a woman, the team there really treated me like I knew nothing. It was very frustrating. Coming to Cyclepath in Kelowna showed me how we SHOULD be treated! There was no sexism, only kind people who really wanted to help. They listened to what I needed and provided knowledgeable insight. I think this is how every shop should be to women!

How would you like to support your partner Liv retailer?

This year I’ve got a big video project coming up and the store will be selling tickets. This will draw lots of women in to come and be inspired! I also promote my local retailer and Liv bikes heavily on my Instagram which has brought a lot of women to the shop as they see how it’s a safe space where they can be helped without being hassled.

What aspect of Liv resonates with you the most?

Getting more women on bikes!! The sport has been dominated by men for so long (and they are still crushing it, but really welcoming women now), that we need more women having the confidence to just try. To start somewhere. Liv bikes are built with high quality components and geometry that is fitted to women and really makes cycling better for us! The fact it’s owned by women, run by women and has events geared towards women is incredible. It really has a platform to showcase what women are really capable of and I so appreciate that!

What's a major project you would like to achieve as a Liv Ambassador in 2026?

Complete the large film project and showcase women of all ages!
