Ronja Blöchlinger delivered a breakthrough weekend at the UCI World Cup in Lenzerheide, Switzerland, earning second-place finishes in both the Elite Women’s Cross-country Short Track (XCC) and Cross-country Olympic (XCO) races aboard her Pique Advanced SL.
Racing in front of a passionate home crowd, the Liv Factory Racing athlete showcased her strength and consistency across two days of competition, securing her best World Cup results to date in both disciplines.
The weekend began with Friday’s XCC, where Blöchlinger rode aggressively throughout the nine-lap race to position herself among the leaders. The race came down to a sprint finish, with
Blöchlinger crossing the line in second after a closely contested battle for the win.
She returned to the start line on Sunday full of confidence and immediately took control of the XCO race. Blöchlinger surged to the front during the opening start loop and established an early advantage before settling into a strong rhythm on the demanding Lenzerheide course.
As the race unfolded, she maintained a consistent pace on the hot and dusty Swiss track, holding firm in podium position against a world-class field. Supported by enthusiastic fans lining the course, Blöchlinger delivered a composed performance from start to finish to secure second place and her first Elite Women’s XCO World Cup podium.
The pair of podium finishes capped an exceptional weekend for the Swiss rider and highlighted the speed and capability of the Pique Advanced SL on one of mountain biking’s most iconic World Cup venues.
With momentum on her side, Blöchlinger now turns her attention to the next round of World Cup racing as the season continues.
