The Intrigue X Advanced E+ Elite was released this past month and reviewed by media outlets from around the globe; the new carbon model is a first of its kind for Liv, receiving praise for being lightweight without the sacrifice of power or range.
Bicycling’s Rosael Torres Davis wrote, “Not only did Liv make a significantly lighter, more powerful, and virtually standard-looking electric mountain bike, but the integration of the features looks, feels, and works seamlessly. It is a clean-looking bike with sleek and user-friendly qualities that provide a top-notch experience.”
Beyond its lighter weight and power, Roz from Australia-based Flow Mountain Bike reports, "The sizing and geometry felt amazing. I hopped on and felt instantly at home, like it was my bike all along! The mullet setup is a big part of this, since it allows the chainstays to be made much shorter compared to a full 29er setup. I found it easier to corner and move the bike around, and it was also a lot easier to lift up the front wheel. Combined with the sub-20kg weight and plush suspension, the Intrigue X E+ Elite is a great handling e-MTB."
At first glance, the sleek, subtle design with the slim battery built directly into the down tube looks like a regular bike, which impressed Tara Nolan of Canadian Cycling Magazine. "The bike's design is pretty slick—I'm not just talking about the interesting paint job that I've come to associate with Liv bikes or the internal cable routing that allows you to see more of the frame. The bike itself isn't super chunky. The battery, which is the first ebike-specific battery cell in the world (and Liv-specific), is so slender, it's well hidden in the downtube, which is only about four inches wide. It's actually the Fox Live Valve with its wires that sit off the rear shock that kind of draws the eye south to the bottom of the down tube where it's obvious to deduce it's an eMTB. But if you were to pass someone on singletrack, it might take a moment (if at all) before you realize that rider has some extra torque!"
Additionally, Julie Engler of GearJunkie said -"The Liv Intrigue X Advanced E+ Elite 1 e-MTB was a joy to shred downhill. And its powerful electric assist made riding and pushing the bike back up less draining and more enjoyable."
