The week of racing at the US Pro Cup started out strong for Jenn Jackson of the Liv Factory Racing Team, taking home a solid third place in the UCI Elite Women XCO on her Pique Advanced Pro 29 0. The conditions were hot and dusty in Fayetteville, Arkansas; Jackson battled out the seven-lap course in 1:31:27, just 3:32 minutes behind first place.
“The course in Fayetteville is super fun, fast and well-built for racing. I’m really happy to find some of the pace I was missing at the first US Cup rounds and move back up onto the podium,” said Jackson “The race strung out quickly but I was able to hang in the wheels for the first half, then in the latter part set my own pace on the climbs and rallied the descents. Stage 1 done and dusted (literally, hot and dry out there!), taking an easy day before the short track on Friday and another XC Saturday. Looking forward to more racing!”
Two more races will be held at Fayetteville this week, the short track XCC Friday and another XCO on Saturday, giving Jackson a chance to score some more UCI points!
