|What is your biggest cycling achievement?|
Taking 1st for coed teams in the 2007 Reno Adventure Race and 2012 Lake Tahoe Mountain Bike Race with Zach
|What is your professional goal for 2019?||To inspire women to build confidence in themselves through skiing and snowboarding.|
|Why do you love cycling?|
The freedom of exploring new trails, the pure joy of riding bikes and being present in the moment. It is the closest feeling I get to skiing in the summer.
|Why do you love riding for Liv?|
I am passionate about building sisterhood in the outdoor industry. I love that Liv shares the same core beliefs in biking that inspired us to create Coalition Snow ... building on women's strengths and giving female athletes the tools they need to achieve their goals in the mountains.
|If you could learn a new sport or skill this year, what would it be?|
I dropped my first cliff on skis at 40... This year as a newbie at downhill riding I am excited to learn how to jump on my bike.
|What is your favorite place to travel?||Skiing the French Alps in Chamonix!|
|What is your favorite food?|
Egg and cheese breakfast sandwiches before a long ride and a veggie burrito and cold beer after!
|Who are your favorite riding partners?|
I love getting out on the trail with one of my girlfriends and #myinstagramhusband Zach Tolby.
|How do you spend your time off the bike?||I love skiing in winter and enjoy trail running, swimming, and stand up paddle boarding on Lake Tahoe in the warmer months. At the core of my mountain lifestyle are yoga and pilates.|
|Who taught you how to ride a bike/ got you into the sport of cycling?||My Dad taught me how to ride a bike - I remember him taking off the training wheels and running behind me as I biked on the sand thinking he was still holding on to the seat. Oh the discovery that I did it by myself! Biking still brings me a feeling of freedom and joy and achievement.|
|Have you taught anyone how to ride a bike or introduced someone to the sport?||I have converted multiple girlfriends from road riders to mountain bikers.|
|How do you plan to pass on your love for cycling in 2019 and beyond?||I plan to coordinate a couple of ladies rides in Tahoe.|
|Words you live by...|
