Since it was first released in 2014 as one of Liv’s first 27.5 mountain bikes, the Intrigue has been known as a bike capable of tackling it all. The trail bike came back in 2019 with completely updated geometry built around 27.5-inch wheels. In 2021, Intrigue has been updated yet again, this time with 29-inch wheels. With a 140mm fork, 125mm of Maestro rear suspension, the addition of the Maestro flip chip, and a lightweight Advanced-Grade Composite frame, the Intrigue Advanced Pro 29 is ready to meet the demands of any terrain.
Now that top cycling media outlets have received the all-new Intrigue Advanced Pro 29 and tested the bike on their favorite trails, the reviews are pouring in:
“Long story short: The Intrigue is a badass bike. It tackled the chunky descents of my local trail system with enthusiasm, while still managing not to feel piggish or unfocused on the same slow, precise climbs. The suspension feels plush without being too soft—I felt insulated from the judders and bounces of rocks and roots, and popped off small jumps with ease. On one ride, I had to sprint down a mostly flat cinder path to catch the group, and I never found myself wallowing, bouncing, or wishing for more support,” said Taylor Rojek of Bicycling Magazine.
“We liked the Intrigue right out of the gate—but came to really like it as the ride went on. If you’re feeling lazy, it gives you back more than you put in, softening edges and sucking up the trail effortlessly. Give it a little more juice, and it turns into a playful dirt jumper, more than willing to tackle rock rolls and other chaos. We felt on top of the bike, totally in control, and free to push our limits,” said Lydia Tanner, Beta.
